The European Central Bank (ECB) and the Center for Inflation Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland are set to host the Inflation: Drivers and Dynamics 2025 Conference. The event will take place on September 29-30 in Frankfurt, Germany, with virtual attendance options available for those not presenting or serving as discussants.
Ulrike M. Malmendier from the University of California, Berkeley, and Gauti B. Eggertsson from Brown University will deliver keynote addresses. Additionally, Philip R. Lane, a member of the ECB Executive Board, along with Beth M. Hammack, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will provide remarks.
This annual conference gathers leading researchers and policymakers from academia, central banks, and other policy institutions to present research findings related to inflation. Topics covered include various aspects of inflation research conducted by authors such as Ina Hajdini, Ed Knotek, Damjan Pfajfar, Robert Rich from the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; Elena Bobeica, Sarah Holton, Peter Karadi, Chiara Osbat from the ECB.
Researchers interested in presenting their work are encouraged to submit their papers via Conference Maker by April 30. Notifications for accepted submissions will be sent out by June 16. Presenters and discussants are expected to attend in person. All presented papers will be accessible on both the ECB's and Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland's websites.
The conference aims to serve as a platform for sharing insights into economic conditions affecting communities locally within Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky as well as across the nation and globally.
