Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent held a meeting with Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong. The discussion focused on the economic relationship between the United States and Singapore.

During the meeting, Secretary Bessent expressed satisfaction with hearing Deputy Prime Minister Gan’s perspectives on bilateral economic relations. The two officials also addressed ongoing cooperation between the U.S. Treasury Department and Singapore’s Ministry of Finance concerning shared economic and national security priorities.
