Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent met with Japan’s Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama in Tokyo on October 27, 2025. The meeting focused on the US-Japan alliance and future opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

Bessent expressed his confidence in the partnership, stating his commitment to ongoing engagement with Katayama.
