Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent has announced several key appointments to senior positions within the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Ethan Fallang has been appointed as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Capital Markets. He brings experience from his roles at Rumble, Narya Capital, and Riverview Health Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Fallang holds degrees from The Ohio State University and UMass Amherst.

John Hurley is nominated by President Trump for Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. Hurley currently manages Cavalry Asset Management and TGK Ventures, with a teaching role at Stanford Graduate School of Business. His past includes service on President Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board and military service during the First Gulf War.

Christopher Pilkerton will serve as Acting General Counsel of the Treasury Department. His background includes roles at the U.S. Small Business Administration, the SEC, and various educational institutions such as Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

Alexandria Smith takes on the role of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Community and Economic Development after serving as an advisor to Congressman Byron Donalds and Senator Tim Scott. She holds a degree from Columbia College.
