Travis Hill has been sworn in as the 23rd Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), following his service as Acting Chairman since January 20, 2025. He previously held the position of Vice Chairman starting January 5, 2023. Hill was nominated by President Trump on September 30, 2025, for a five-year term and received Senate confirmation on December 18, 2025.

Before joining the FDIC Board, Hill worked in several roles at the FDIC itself, with the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and at Regions Financial Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in economics and political science and earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
