On April 22, 2025, the American Economic Association announced that Susan M. Collins, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, has been named one of the four Distinguished Fellows for 2025. The annual award “recognizes the lifetime contributions of four distinguished economists each year.”

Collins expressed her gratitude, stating, “My sincere thanks to the AEA, and congratulations to my fellow honorees. I appreciate this honor and the opportunities to contribute to economic inquiry and public policymaking over the years.”
