The Federal Reserve Board has released the minutes from its meetings held on July 21 and July 30, 2025. The meetings focused on reviewing and determining the discount rates offered to depository institutions through the discount window.

According to the Federal Reserve Board, the process for setting the discount rate is separate from how the Federal Open Market Committee sets the target range for the federal funds rate.
