The Bank of Canada has released its schedule for policy interest rate announcements and other major publications for 2026. The central bank also confirmed the dates for the remaining interest rate announcements in 2025.

According to the Bank, the interest rate announcements in 2026 will take place on January 28, March 18, April 29, June 10, July 15, September 2, October 28, and December 9. For the rest of this year, scheduled dates are September 17, October 29, and December 10. All these announcements are set for 09:45 Eastern Time.

The Monetary Policy Report will be published at the same time as the January, April, July and October rate announcements.

The Bank also outlined when it will release its Business Outlook Survey and Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations next year. These releases are planned for January 19, April 20, July 6 and October 19 at 10:30 Eastern Time.

Additionally, the Financial Stability Report is scheduled to be published on May 28 at 10:00 Eastern Time.

"The Bank of Canada today published its 2026 schedule for policy interest rate announcements and the release of the quarterly Monetary Policy Report. It also reconfirmed the scheduled interest rate announcement dates for the remainder of this year," according to a statement from the Bank.

"In addition, the Bank published its schedule for the release of the Business Outlook Survey and the Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations, and the Financial Stability Report," said a spokesperson.
