The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has announced the appointment of Beth Gosch to its Community Advisory Group. This group includes leaders from nonprofits, community organizations, foundations, and anchor institutions. Its main objective is to offer the New York Fed, led by President John C. Williams, insights into economic challenges faced by various communities and individuals within the Second District.
Beth Gosch is the executive director of the Western New York Foundation in Buffalo. Her work focuses on empowering people to create a thriving and equitable food system in Western New York's seven counties. She has held this position for nearly two decades. Before her current role, Gosch was the chief financial officer at a real estate and construction management company and previously worked as a chef, restaurant consultant, and food entrepreneur.
Gosch's involvement extends to serving on the Local Initiatives Support Corp’s Western New York Advisory Board and holding leadership positions on boards of several Western New York nonprofits such as the Fund for the Arts, Western New York Grantmakers Association, and others related to sustainable agriculture and regional food systems initiatives.
