Box and IBM have announced a collaboration to enhance enterprise-level AI adoption for content management. This partnership aims to utilize IBM's watsonx and Box AI to streamline content-driven workflows. The initiative seeks to harness unstructured data stored in contracts, spreadsheets, and presentations to derive valuable insights while ensuring security and compliance, especially in regulated sectors.
Box aims to integrate AI into business processes, allowing for improved data extraction, document processing, and content analysis. Aaron Levie, Box co-founder and CEO, stated, "The impact AI is having on the enterprise is unlike anything we’ve seen since the birth of the internet." IBM's Senior Vice President, Rob Thomas, commented, “Our partnership with Box enables businesses to seamlessly integrate AI into their core processes, helping to enhance productivity and transform operations.”
Box also announced it is implementing IBM watsonx.governance to manage AI model lifecycle, compliance, and risk. Furthermore, Box continues to use the Red Hat OpenShift platform for scalable AI application deployment. Box AI is available to enterprise customers through Box AI Studio and APIs, and IBM is a reseller of Box products featuring Box AI.
