Federal Reserve Bank announces new appointments to Los Angeles Branch Board

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has announced new appointments and a reappointment to its Los Angeles Branch Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. The board will see the addition of Maria F. Hollandsworth, President and Chief Operating Officer at El Pollo Loco in Costa Mesa, California, and Michael D. Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer at Delta Dental of Arizona in Phoenix.

Selena Cuffe, Chief Growth Officer at Blackstone Consulting, Inc., based in Los Angeles, has been reappointed for a second term on the board. Additionally, Carlos Gonzalez, Division President at Clark Construction Group in Irvine, California, has been designated as Chair of the Los Angeles Branch Board for 2025.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 mandates that each of the 12 Reserve Banks operates under the supervision of a board of directors. The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's Head Office Board consists of nine directors representing the interests of the Twelfth Reserve District. These directors bring diverse expertise to help fulfill policy and operational responsibilities.

Each Reserve Bank is structured with three classes: Class A directors represent member banks; Class B and Class C directors represent public interests. The San Francisco Fed's four branches—Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle—each have their own seven-member branch boards.

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco aims to advance monetary, financial, and payment systems across its district covering nine western states along with American territories such as American Samoa and Guam. Its mission aligns with achieving maximum employment and price stability as part of the central bank's dual mandate.
