Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President comments on FOMC meeting vote

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has released a statement from its President, Beth M. Hammack, regarding her vote at the Federal Open Market Committee's meeting held on December 17-18, 2024. The Cleveland Fed is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that form part of the Federal Reserve System along with the Board of Governors in Washington D.C.

As part of its role within the US central bank, the Cleveland Fed participates in formulating national monetary policy and supervises banking organizations. It also provides payment services to financial institutions and the US Treasury while supporting communities across its district through research, outreach, and educational activities.

The Fourth Federal Reserve District includes Ohio, parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The Cleveland Fed operates branches in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh to serve this region.
