Philadelphia Fed hosts forum on presidential search process

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is set to hold a virtual public engagement forum on October 8, focusing on the selection process for the next Philadelphia Fed president. The forum will provide an opportunity for members of the Search Committee to share details about the search process and discuss the desired qualities in a candidate. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and offer feedback for consideration by the committee.

The panel of participants includes Anthony Ibargüen, Chair of the Search Committee and CEO of Quench USA, Inc.; Sharmain Matlock-Turner, Deputy Chair of the Philadelphia Fed Board of Directors and CEO of Urban Affairs Coalition; and Thomas Daniels, a search consultant from Spencer Stuart. Kelly Jones, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Philadelphia Fed, will moderate the event.

Scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET on October 8, advance registration is required for participation. Attendees can submit questions beforehand via Slido.com using code #FRBPOct8 or during the live event.

A select group of community stakeholders will join onsite participation. A recording of the session will be available afterward on the Presidential Search web page for those unable to attend. Additionally, feedback can be sent via email to PresidentialSearch@phil.frb.org.

The Philadelphia Fed emphasizes its commitment to an open and transparent search process with significant public involvement opportunities. Further information about the search is accessible at www.PhiladelphiaFed.org/PresidentialSearch.
