The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has announced the appointment of Mendi Blue Paca to its Community Advisory Group, effective immediately.
The Community Advisory Group consists of leaders from nonprofits, community organizations, foundations, and anchor institutions. Its primary goal is to provide the New York Fed, including President John C. Williams, with a real-time view of economic issues faced by diverse communities and individuals across the Second District.
Paca’s appointment precedes the Community Advisory Group’s next meeting on October 8, 2024.
Paca serves as president and CEO of Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, which has awarded over $390 million in grants to nonprofits primarily in Fairfield County, Connecticut. She joined the Foundation in 2018 and previously held roles as chief community impact officer and VP of community impact. Her prior experience includes positions as growth and innovation advisor to the president of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts; strategy manager at the Center for Effective Philanthropy; registered broker and compliance officer at Goldman Sachs & Co.; and summer associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
Paca graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She also holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
