The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has announced the appointment of Gary Dake and Nicole Russo to the New York Fed’s Second District Advisory Council, effective immediately.
The Second District Advisory Council, composed of senior business leaders, typically convenes three times a year to provide the New York Fed President and leadership with insights into business and economic conditions in the Second District. Members serve three-year terms. The next meeting is scheduled for October 1, 2024.
Dake is president of Stewart’s Shops Corp., a family-owned convenience-store chain based in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is the third generation of his family to serve as president of the chain, where he has worked for over 35 years. The chain operates 350 shops and employs more than 5,000 people in New York and southern Vermont. Dake graduated from St. Lawrence University with a major in economics.
Russo is owner, president, and CEO of Microboard Processing, Inc., an electronic manufacturing services firm based in Seymour, Connecticut. Microboard specializes in circuit card assembly, system integration, and test services for clients in sectors including medical, defense, aerospace, industrial, and telecom. Russo has led the company for the past 20 years. From 1999 to 2005, she held various structured finance roles at GE Capital involving strategic portfolio growth and integration activities as well as leading an international team in India.
