The Federal Reserve System is set to host the 2024 Minorities in Banking Forum on October 2-3, 2024, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, located at 1455 E 6th St, Cleveland, OH 44115. The forum aims to convene mid- to senior-level leaders in the financial services industry with a focus on diversity and inclusion, leadership, and career enhancement.
The event is designed to foster discussions and share insights on economic conditions affecting local communities within the Fourth Federal Reserve District—which includes Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky—as well as broader national issues. It will feature sessions on various topics pertinent to both regional and national economic stability.
"We produce indicators and datasets to inform the public, policymakers, and researchers about economic conditions, including inflation, employment, and risks to the financial system," a spokesperson from the Federal Reserve System stated. "Our research informs the public and policymakers by examining economic issues of importance to those in our local communities, across the nation, and around the world."
Participants will have opportunities to engage with educational resources that cover basic economics concepts such as inflation. These resources are intended for personal use or sharing with others. Additionally, the forum will address how financial institutions can better serve American consumers’ financial security while maintaining overall financial stability.
Registration for this event is priced at $200 and will close on September 25, 2024.
