As the fourth quarter of 2025 begins, Moody’s Analytics is advancing its Maxsight unified risk platform by integrating Agentic AI into key compliance and risk management workflows. The company reports that recent developments have moved discussions about artificial intelligence in risk management from theory to practical application.

Agentic AI differs from traditional AI assistants by functioning as autonomous digital colleagues capable of managing multi-step processes, maintaining context across tasks, and synthesizing data from multiple sources. According to Moody’s Analytics, these agents are designed to support workflows such as screening, due diligence, and risk assessment while allowing users to determine the level of automation or human oversight required.

Moody’s states that its Agentic Solutions within Maxsight enable users to interact with agents directly, review their reasoning, and adjust recommendations as needed. These agents analyze both proprietary and external data sources to provide insights intended to aid decision-making more quickly than conventional methods.

The latest update includes the deployment of a next-generation screening agent and a new reporting agent, both scheduled for release in the final quarter of 2025. The screening agent automates the process of reviewing individuals and entities by providing explanations for flagged items and allowing human intervention on exceptions rather than routine cases. The reporting agent acts as an autonomous research analyst, collecting information from various sources to generate detailed risk assessments and reports in formats such as Enhanced Due Diligence or Occupational Safety and Health Administration violations reports.

Moody’s emphasizes that Agentic AI offers more than automation; it allows for configurable solutions tailored to specific business needs. This adaptability is positioned as an improvement over traditional rule-based systems. The company also highlights that outputs generated by these agents will be tracked and aligned with customer policies within Maxsight to promote transparency and consistency.

“With autonomous capability comes responsibility, and that’s why we are committed to explainability, bias mitigation, and building human oversight at the core of agent-supported workflows. As Maxsight continues to evolve, our focus will remain on delivering practical, trustworthy AI agents that support human analysis and judgment,” Moody’s stated.

The organization recently conducted a global study involving 600 professionals on the use of AI in risk-related compliance activities. The findings can be accessed through their report.

Looking ahead, Moody’s plans further enhancements for Maxsight with additional agent-driven features aimed at simplifying complex compliance tasks while maintaining regulatory standards.
