IBM has introduced a new consulting service called IBM Enterprise Advantage, aimed at helping businesses build and manage their own internal AI platforms. The service is designed to allow organizations to integrate AI into their existing workflows and systems without changing their current cloud providers or core infrastructure. Supported platforms include Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, as well as both open- and closed-source models.

The service combines the expertise of IBM consultants with technology from IBM Consulting Advantage, an internal AI-powered delivery platform that has been used in over 150 client engagements. According to IBM, this platform has increased consultant productivity by up to 50 percent.

With Enterprise Advantage, clients can access a marketplace of industry-specific AI agents and applications. They are also provided guidance on navigating the complex landscape of AI technologies to maximize business value.

Pearson, a company focused on lifelong learning, is using the new service to develop an AI-powered platform that integrates human expertise with digital assistants for daily tasks and decision-making.

Another example cited involves a manufacturing company implementing its generative AI strategy through Enterprise Advantage. This process included identifying valuable use cases, testing prototypes, aligning leadership around a scalable approach, and deploying AI assistants in a secure environment designed for future expansion across the enterprise.

“Many organizations are investing in AI, but achieving real value at scale remains a major challenge,” said Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting. “We have solved many of these challenges inside IBM by using AI to transform our own operations and deliver measurable results, giving us a proven playbook to help clients succeed. Enterprise Advantage brings this framework to clients by combining human expertise with digital workers and ready-to-use AI assets so they can scale AI with confidence and achieve meaningful impact.”

IBM states that Enterprise Advantage is available immediately.
