The IBM board of directors has elected Ramon L. Laguarta to join the board, with his appointment effective March 1, 2026.

Laguarta, 62, currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo. He has led the global food and beverage company since 2018 and is recognized for his role in transforming both its portfolio and culture.

Arvind Krishna, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of IBM, stated: “We are pleased to have Ramon Laguarta join the IBM board of directors.
