The Federal Reserve Board has announced an extension of the comment period for its proposal aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in stress test models and scenarios. The new deadline for submitting comments is February 21, 2026, providing additional time for stakeholders to review the proposal and prepare their feedback.

According to the Board, “The Board extended the comment period to allow interested parties more time to analyze the issues and prepare their comments.”

Initially, comments on this proposal were due by January 22, 2026. However, the deadline has now been pushed back by nearly a month. It is important to note that comments specifically related to the 2026 stress test scenarios must still be submitted by December 1, 2025.

This move reflects ongoing efforts by the Federal Reserve Board to gather comprehensive input from various parties as it seeks to refine its approach to stress testing within the financial sector.
