The Federal Reserve Board has announced the agenda for its upcoming conference on large bank capital requirements, scheduled for July 22. The event will gather various stakeholders such as academics, practitioners, and market participants to explore the core aspects of the regulatory capital framework.

Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle W. Bowman commented on the significance of the conference: “The conference will allow for expert discussions on whether capital requirements are operating as intended and the interconnections between different requirements.” She expressed anticipation in gaining insights from diverse viewpoints regarding future reforms in the capital framework.

Attendees can expect panel discussions covering topics like Basel III endgame rules, stress testing frameworks, capital surcharges for major banks, and leverage requirements. This Integrated Review of the Capital Framework for Large Banks conference will be hosted at the Federal Reserve Board building in Washington, D.C., with a livestream available to the public.
