The Federal Reserve Board has announced the designation of chairs and deputy chairs for the boards of directors at each of the 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks for 2026.
Each year, the Board of Governors in Washington appoints three directors to each regional bank’s board to represent the public. From these appointees, one is named chair and another as deputy chair.
For the Boston district, Lizanne Kindler, executive chair and chief executive at KnitWell Group in Hingham, Massachusetts, will serve as Chair. Tim Sweeney, president, CEO, and chairman at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston, has been named Deputy Chair.
In New York, Pat Wang, president and CEO of Healthfirst in New York City, will continue as Chair. Rajiv J. Shah, M.D., president of The Rockefeller Foundation in New York City, remains Deputy Chair.
William Lo, CEO of Crystal Steel Fabricators in Delmar, Delaware, has been designated Chair for Philadelphia. Kisha Hortman Hawthorne from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) will be Deputy Chair.
Richard J. Kramer will serve as Chair for Cleveland; he is the former chairman and CEO of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron. Fred Hargett from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center becomes Deputy Chair.
Lisa M. Lawson continues as Richmond’s Chair; she is president and CEO of The Annie E. Casey Foundation in Baltimore. Halsey M. Cook remains Deputy Chair.
Atlanta’s leadership includes Gregory A. Haile as returning Chair and James O. Etheredge as returning Deputy Chair.
In Chicago, Jennifer F. Scanlon will remain Chair while Maurice Smith joins as Deputy Chair.
St. Louis’ new designations are Lal Karsanbhai as Chair and Gregory A. Heckman as Deputy Chair.
Paul D. Williams becomes Minneapolis’ new Chair with Jay Debertin serving as Deputy Chair.
Kansas City’s new appointments are Jandel Allen-Davis, M.D., as Chair and Paul Maass as Deputy Chair.
Claudia Aguirre continues her role as Dallas’ Board Chair; Gary C. Kelly remains Deputy Chair.
San Francisco’s Russell A. Childs will stay on as Board Chair with Pallavi Mehta Wahi continuing as Deputy Chair.
These designations reflect the ongoing role that business leaders play on the boards governing each regional bank across the country.
