The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has announced an upcoming webinar to provide insights into its annual internship program. The event, scheduled for October 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET, aims to inform college and university students about the opportunities available within the institution.

The Cleveland Fed produces indicators and datasets that inform the public, policymakers, and researchers about economic conditions such as inflation, employment, and financial system risks. “Our research informs the public and policymakers by examining economic issues of importance to those in our local communities, across the nation, and around the world,” stated a representative.

The Fourth Federal Reserve District spans Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The resources provided by the Cleveland Fed are intended for use not only in their region but also across various communities in the United States. The institution supervises financial institutions, supports American consumers’ financial security, and maintains stability in payment systems for the US Treasury.

“We serve the American people as part of the US central bank,” noted a spokesperson. “We support the US economy and our region by studying economic conditions and issues that impact our communities.”

The webinar will feature firsthand accounts from former interns who have transitioned into full-time roles at the Cleveland Fed. These professionals will share their experiences across different business areas during a group Q&A session designed to offer deeper insights into their career paths.

Adriana Tucker, Talent Manager at People & Culture; Elle Benak-Dammarell, Education Outreach Coordinator II at Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Opportunity; and Liv Oziomek from Program Associate I at Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Opportunity will be participating in this event.

Those interested in learning more about internships at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland are encouraged to register for this online webinar.
