Federal bank regulators have published the 2025 Shared National Credit (SNC) report, which evaluates the credit risk in large syndicated bank loans. The report finds that credit risk for these loans remains at a moderate level. The analysis takes into account borrowers’ ability to handle increased interest costs and other broad economic conditions.
The 2025 SNC review examined loans that were originated on or before June 30, 2025. The agencies focused their assessment on leveraged loans and borrowers facing financial stress across different industries. The evaluation included all loan commitments of $100 million or more that are held by several regulated financial institutions.
