The Federal Reserve provides economic insights and data to inform the public, policymakers, and researchers about various economic conditions, including inflation and employment. The Fourth Federal Reserve District, which includes Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky, plays a significant role in gathering and disseminating this information.

The Federal Reserve operates 28 cash processing locations across the United States to manage and distribute cash nationally and internationally. The Cash Department ensures authenticity in currency and facilitates cash availability for financial institutions. In the Fourth District, cash operations are managed from locations in Cleveland and Cincinnati.

An upcoming Fed Talk, scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, will feature speakers discussing these cash services. The event will take the form of an online webinar, providing an opportunity for attendees to receive updates on public events hosted by the Cleveland Fed.

The Federal Reserve’s efforts are aimed at supporting the US economy by studying economic conditions, offering services to financial institutions, and providing economic education resources. These efforts align with its mission of maintaining financial stability and serving the American public as part of the central bank system.
