The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland will host its annual economic outlook webinar, part of the Fed Talk series, on January 15, 2026. The online event is scheduled from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST and aims to provide analysis and discussion about key economic indicators and forecasts for the year ahead.
Ed Knotek, senior vice president and director of research at the Cleveland Fed, will lead the session. He will review recent economic data and present the US economic forecast for 2026. The event is designed for professionals, academics, business leaders, and others interested in understanding current economic trends and policy directions.
According to the announcement, “We produce indicators and datasets to inform the public, policymakers, and researchers about economic conditions, including inflation, employment, and risks to the financial system.” The institution further states that its research “informs the public and policymakers by examining economic issues of importance to those in our local communities, across the nation, and around the world.”
The Fourth Federal Reserve District—encompassing Ohio as well as parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky—is represented by the Cleveland Fed. The organization emphasizes that its resources are intended not only for this region but also for communities throughout the United States.
The Fed Talk program is described as a speaker series that covers a range of topics related to economics. Each session features economists or experts who discuss subjects such as inflation, workforce trends, banking issues, and community development. Interactive Q&A segments are included so participants can engage directly with speakers.
“We supervise financial institutions, support American consumers’ financial security, and maintain the financial stability and payment systems for the US Treasury,” according to a statement from the Cleveland Fed. The institution adds: “We serve the American people as part of the US central bank. We support the US economy and our region by studying economic conditions and issues that impact our communities, serving financial institutions, and providing economic education and resources for all.”
