Carlyle appoints new head for Asia Pacific operations

Global investment firm Carlyle has announced the appointment of Brad McCarthy as Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific for Carlyle Global Wealth. Based in Singapore, McCarthy will be responsible for expanding Carlyle’s wealth platform across the Asia Pacific region. His focus will be on enhancing client offerings and broadening access for high net-worth investors to Carlyle’s global suite of private market products and solutions. Additionally, he will oversee the institutional wealth channel for Australia and New Zealand.

McCarthy brings over 25 years of experience in the wealth and asset management industry. Previously, he was with Citi Private Bank and Global Wealth as Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of Alternative Investment Sales.

Before his tenure at Citi, McCarthy served as Head of Asia at Permal, focusing on growing its regional business as an alternative investment provider. He has also held roles at ABN AMRO Asset Management and BT Financial Group.

McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology in Australia and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
