Today marks the beginning of Anna Paulson’s tenure as President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Paulson expressed her eagerness to engage with the people and communities within the Third District, continuing efforts to foster a robust economy. She acknowledged her predecessor, Patrick T. Harker, for his leadership and expressed her intention to build upon his foundation.

Paulson brings over two decades of experience from the Chicago Fed, emphasizing her dedication to the Federal Reserve’s mission of public service. Her initial focus will be on listening, learning, and building relationships both within the Bank and across the Third District. These interactions are expected to shape her views on monetary policy and guide her leadership.

The Philadelphia Fed remains committed to open communication in support of its public service mission. Paulson noted that her perspectives, speeches, and insights would be accessible on their website alongside economic data and research produced by the institution.

She reiterated a shared goal among Philadelphia Fed staff: “building a strong economy, here in the Third District and nationwide.” Paulson stated she is honored by this opportunity and ready to begin her work.
